Obituary of Richard Ernest Cummings

In the comfort of his home in Rodney, surrounded by family on Thursday, February 19, 2015 Richard “Rick” Cummings passed away at the age of 70. Loving husband of Sarah “Ida” May Cummings (nee Burley) for 49 years. Beloved father of Kim (Terry) Deyle, Irene Cummings (John Grover) and Donald Cummings (Crystal Irvine). Dear grandfather of Brandon, Cassidy, Trey, Angel, Dakota, Hunter, Tracy, Tyler, Tara, Richard, Sarah, John and great grandfather of Landon, Dawn, Jordan, Michael and Elun. Sadly missed brother of Bill (Connie), Flo, Linda, Norman, Mary (Scott) and George (Deb). Best friend and loving cousin of Clarence (the late Madeline). Predeceased by his sister Marvel. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at DENNING’S OF RODNEY, 519-785-0810 where a funeral service will be held on Monday, February 23rd at 2:00 pm. Cremation with interment to follow in Rodney Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
