Obituary of Harold Lon Read

It is with great sadness that family and friends of Harold Read announce his passing on November 15, 2019, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was the only son of Orval(1974) and Madeline(1983) Read. Dear brother to Diane( Read) Klabunde. Uncle to Sue Klabunde(2007) and her husband Edward Higdon(2013), Michelle Klabunde (1981), Heidi Klabunde, and Nancy Thibodeau. Great uncle to Matthew,Madeline and Frederick. He will be missed by many cousins in both Ontario and California, and remembered fondly by many friends.

Harold was a driver all his life, be it trucking or setting out on a road trip adventure or vacation. One of his greatest joys over the past 10 years or so was the children who rode on his school bus. He always shared his latest joke or story along the way.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dennings of Rodney, 212 Furnival Rd.,Rodney (519-785-0810),on Thursday, December 5, 2019, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow. Interment in McColl Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made payable by cheque to Aldborough Public School Mindfulness Room would be appreciated.
