Barbara Irene Page was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She left this world peacefully on September 11, 2022 at the age of 74.

She was born to Claude and Margaret Micks on May 20, 1948.  She married Thomas Richard Page (predeceased); they were together for more than 46 years raising two children Richard (Laurie) and Tammy (Doug).  She was blessed with two amazing grandchildren Alex and Sydney.

Barbara cared for her community and her family.  After working in various businesses with her husband she retired to work in her gardens and watch her birds.  She is the baby in a family of 15 children, with only her two sisters Helen, and Joanne to share her later year.

Barbara is known for her large dinners and specialties for each child including her Swedish meatballs.  Her wise cracks and “bossy” ways will be missed.

Barbs Swedish Meatballs

1 Pound of Homemade Meatballs or Store Bought (Barbs Secret Kellogs Special K for the Binder)

Cook  in Oven for 1 hour

Sauce

                1 can chopped tomatoes

                1 can tidbits of pineapple and the juice

                3 tbsp mustard

                ½ to 1 cup Brown Sugar

                2 tbsp chili powder

Cook until thick.

Add the meatballs and keep warm in a slow cooker.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion in West Lorne from 1 to 4 p.m.
