Obituary of Jacobus Willhem Deyle
Jacobus Willhem Maria Deyle, 67, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, January 19, 2019 in London, Ontario with his devoted wife, Cate (née Cornwall), by his side. He was born January 26, 1951 to Jack and Rika Deyle in Uitgeest, Holland. Jacob came to Canada as a baby, settling into the Rodney area soon thereafter. Jacob enjoyed the outdoors, taking walks through the trees, picking mushrooms, and tinkering away in his shop with his dog at his side and his friends and family around the table.
Jacob is survived by his wife Catherine. Proud father of Erin (Graeme) Jennings, Whitney, and Clayton. Cherished grandfather of Cole Nagy, Aliya and Barrett Masse, and Betty Jennings. Survived by brothers Cornelius, Anthony, Theo, and his sister Lia. Predeceased by his parents, brothers John and Eric, and sister Anne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Fr. John Comiskey at 11:00am on Saturday, January 26th at St. Mary's Catholic Parish, 128 Main Street, West Lorne. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26th at DENNING’S OF RODNEY, 212 Furnival Road, Rodney (519-785-0810).
